Holding a B.Tech. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, and Indian patent agent registration, he progressed from IP Analyst to IP Counsel and Head of IP at Philips India (Philips Intellectual Property and Standards) and Versuni (formerly Philips Domestic Appliances). His expertise spans the digital domain in hardware and software, supporting R&D in medical devices, imaging, remote sensing, signal/image processing, connected care, interconnectivity, interoperability, and communications. Proficient in all IP forms—patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights, trade secrets—and departmental processes like strategy development, invention harvesting, drafting/prosecution, risk mitigation, contracts, licensing, and M&A support, Dr. Seshan educates on strategic IP-business alignment, fostering innovation as a lifelong learner and visionary leader.
